About the video: proclaim13 wrote: This is a home made music video of my latest song "Jesus and His Dad" that will be available on my next album. The song addresses the 'anthropomorphism' in god/gods- specifically in the myth of the benevolent Yahweh and his savior son Jesus. Anthropomorhism refers to the humanistic traits mankind has attributed to his gods over thousands of years. Therefore, this song addresses both Jesus and Yahweh's personalitiy traits as well as their second hand/hearsay (neither one ever wrote anything directly) religious views written in telepathic dictation by the writers of the bible. I added a few soundbites from the late great George Carlin to the song as a tribute to him, his views, and to add a little comedy to what I think is a very serious song. Being that it is my nature to 'question everything', after I recorded the song and made the video, I started to wonder why I'm so stuck on the god/gods/and religion in general and why I have such strong views on the subject. The answer is that I see religion as a giant impediment to progress and unity between cultures as well as friends and family members. Nothing ruins a conversation better than discussing politics and religion. The views in this song are an expression of where I am right now in this point of my life...I accept all spiritual paths that people may have as long as they accept mine. I am a humanist, which means that I believe in the human endeavors of mankind most notably science and reason. I hope my fellow humanists, atheists, agnostics, and all those in the free-thought world enjoy this video, but most importantly I hope this video leads the dogmatic believers in the world to at least question and think about the supposed
'truth' they insecurely hold so dear. peace and love to all!!!
